"Looking for the Dream"
Elvia Iannaccone Gezlev is a 53 year old internationally published photographer from Milano, Italy. Today she lives in Staten Island, NY. Her photography has been primarily focused on portraits of tattooed people and female tattooers, since the 90s. She published the books Out of the skin, and My Tattoo World, and has been collaborating with magazines and blogs. Today she is the founder and editor of the magazine Ladies of Tattooing Worldwide (Blurb.com) In the past few years Elvia also started taking dreamy abstract and blurry long exposure digital images, that resemble oil painting strokes and later found out this is an actual existing style called ICM (Intentional Camera Movement). This is her new obsession that she is very passionate about.
