With this piece, which I call Human(ity), I want to bring to the fore questions of freedom, choice and humanness. A human being faces challenges and choices. Humanity is a choice. I want to ask; which is our responsibility and what are the consequences of our actions?

Sara Ussher is a self-taught artist living and working in Finland. Her art form is stone painting in the sense that enables her to create meanings by going for a sculptural 3-dimension and highlighting the different qualities of natural unprocessed stones. In fact her art form could be situated in the middle ground of painting and sculpture.
